I’m Amy Kellow, a Second Generation Classical Pilates Teacher and the founder of Everybody Pilates — a group of Classical Pilates studios in the UK and the Netherlands. For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free through the Classical Pilates Method.
Everybody Pilates was founded to create spaces where people can experience the full Classical system — from Mat to Reformer, Cadillac to Wunda Chair — taught with the same integrity and precision that Joseph Pilates intended.
My journey began over two decades ago when I discovered Pilates through a mat work class at a local gym. Experiencing the change in my own body — from stiffness and pain to freedom and control — inspired me to train as an instructor and later immerse myself in the Classical tradition.
I was privileged to study under Pilates Elder Jay Grimes, completing both The Work and Teaching the Work programmes at Vintage Pilates in Los Angeles. Jay’s guidance profoundly shaped my understanding of the Method, and his influence continues to inform how I teach and train others today. I also continue my ongoing education with world-renowned Classical teacher MeJo Wiggin, having completed her Classical Syllabus® programme in 2013. MeJo remains a strong influence and mentor in my teaching journey.
With this lineage of supportive teachers, I’ve been able to bring their knowledge into our education programmes at Everybody Pilates. My goal is to bridge the depth of Classical Pilates with modern understanding — creating a welcoming and inspiring environment where both new and experienced instructors can grow.
As a lifelong student, I’m passionate about integrating Classical principles with biomechanical insight to help people move with greater awareness, strength, and ease.
